"Out of this World" Cake

2 cups granulated sugar
1 cup butter or margarine
5 eggs
1 cup milk
1 (13 1/2 ounce) box graham cracker crumbs (or 3 1/2 cups)
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 (15 1/4 ounce) can crushed pineapple, drained
1 (6 ounce) package frozen coconut
1 1/2 cups nuts, chopped
1 tablespoon vanilla extract

Grease and flour a tube pan. Mix all ingredients together using an electric mixer. Pour into the tube pan. Bake at 350 degrees F for 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 hours. Test at 1 1/4 hours with a straw which will come out clean if done. Set aside to cool before removing from pan.
